MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge seafile-client-git [2] into seafile-client [3]:
'seafile-client-git' is broken and long abandoned. But it also would not really be useful even if fixed: upstream is updated only sporadically, with a few commits here and there; and then quickly publishes a new point release. The stable AUR/seafile-client is actively maintained, up-to-date, and works.
