MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for libnotify-gtk2 [2]: Not useful to keep this old version from 2013.
This was intended for Gtk2-based desktop environments, but such are no longer available in Arch or AUR repos. Gtk2 GUI applications work just fine with the latest version of [extra] repo's Gtk3-based libnotify.
