MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python-pyqt5-pre-release [2]: Upstream PyQt5 is in minimal maintenance mode, and will likely soon be completely EOL.
Meanwhile it is not useful to have this package on AUR, especially because it is not actively maintained here. (ATM it is OOD but no one even flagged it as such.) There will absolutely be zero API changes in PyQt5, so outside of a few Qt developers and a maybe some Desktop Environment / Linux distribution maintainers / CI engineers, no one else can see any benefit in installing a prerelease of this deprecated package, even if the PKGBUILD itself were always up-to-date. And even those mentioned people would need the devel release only in their CI environment and not as a locally installed Arch Linux package.
