There is no need to "fix" it. Python2-nose builds perfectly well (contrary to your statement) with the PKGBUILD posted as comment on the AUR. Yes nobody filed a disown request and fixed it. That would have been a sensible route. But of course this wouldn't fit your agenda of getting rid of python2 packages.
