MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for polkit-dumb-agent-git [2]:

Broken, unbuildable on current Arch Linux / KDE Plasma 6.
Upstream has been abandoned for 3 years [a],
and doesn't respond even to build failure or use-case-breaking issues.
[b]

Also this was a just a crude hack attempt to neutralize / thwart
PolKit on KDE and replace it with kdesu, to launch everything that
needs any specific temporarily elevated credential with granting that
process a runtime-persistent root access via su.

Such a hack is totally unneeded nowadays. A majority of popular GUI
applications that require elevated access do support PolKit, and the
ones that don't still can invoke a temporary sudo-based root process.

In my experience, Arch Linux is very mature in its PolKit support.
I primarily use KDE desktop but with many GNOME and third-party
applications, and they work just fine without any PolKit hacks.

It is not worth trying to fix this broken package because this program
is ill-conceived.

If there is any PolKit/credential issue experienced with any
application, an issue should be filed for upstream and/or for the Arch
Linux package in question.
