crwn [1] filed a deletion request for proton-experimental-symlink [2]: The package doesn't work, steam sets a lot of custom env variables per game (~100, yes that much) and setting them all would be painful (and they also depend on your pc components), the package also has hardcoded paths, only supports 1 wine wrapper (wineboot), and not regedit, notepad, winecfg etc, making the package actually work would require me to extend it by ~150 lines and requires me to keep up with steam's constant changes to proton, which isn't doable for me.
