The stable package aur/gradience can now be built and started with python-yapsy-git (further functionality untested). However, the deletion request against aur/gradience-git stands because the program still does not start, producing numerous "RuntimeError", "KeyError", and "Gtk-CRITICAL" messages.
As previously mentioned, these issues are unlikely to be resolved soon because upstream is effectively in an unmaintained state. The package can be recreated when project status changes.
