Request #61091 has been Rejected by Antiz [1]: A merge request is simply a deletion request with the extra step of merging the votes and comments of the "old" package into the "new" targeted one. When there's nothing relevant to merge (or nothing at all, like it's the case here), there's no reason to go for a merge request rather than a deletion one.
