Likely never worked as an Arch/AUR package, because it is not compatible with GNU make, only with a specific unofficial fork of that utility. (As per remarked by a warning in the build output, before erroring and quitting.) I don't think it's useful to keep. The working, drop-in compatible AUR/cssc [b] provides the '/usr/bin/sccs' executable.
