MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for proot-bin [2]: Outdated for 18+ months, and upstream has not published binary builds for the latest git release tag version.
At this point I think it is best for users to no longer get this abandoned package offered and instead be left with a choice from one of the more up-to-date and maintained source-based alternatives on AUR.
