opencl-amd (and opencl-amd-dev) are not out of date. Latest version is 6.3.3 - https://rocm.docs.amd.com/en/latest/about/release-notes.html which only updates the rocm systems profiler for a minor bug. Due to the nature of these packages, which are over 25 GB in size, it would not be ideal to update on every minor patch.
I also have been updating this package constantly for the last 4 years so I have a pretty good idea when it's time to update and when to not. AMD release procedures have been questionable at best, with silent updates in existing repositories and an akamai cache that will serve wrong files for weeks and no easy way to cache bust if you are not careful. I'm not going to waste peoples time and bandwidth, including the package maintainers time in this mailing list, and my own. IMO there is no reason for an orphan request at all. Be patient.
