Do Flarm provide tuned antennas for the two regions? I don't believe they do. The Portable specs say they're dual compatible with both.
Given how close the two frequencies are, they may have tuned for the middle ground? Slap it in, do a range check and assess the results (both you and another glider to check both transmit and receive).
