Hi All, Our club is looking at running a "Shandy" of Mogas/Avgas in our Pawnee's (Lycomings 360's) I have heard that that there are clubs out there that do this and that there are also a variety of different fuel ratio's used.
Realising that an STC needs to be purchased/applied, I would very much appreciate any feed from the forums to get a feel for what the other clubs are doing in their aircraft and the environment they Launch in like the temperature range and fuel mix ratio? eg: The Aircraft type? - Peak minimum and maximum temperatures the aircraft has proven to reliably to perform rapid/multiple launches and with what ratio of Mogas/Avgas? - Has there been any increase or long term maintenance implication ? - Any increases of occurrences of vapor locking or Carby icing running the blends up to pure Mogas?
