39th FAI NATIONALS GULGONG 21st Feb ‘01 Hi All, Provisional Day 8 and aggerate scores should be posted this evening. Day 8 looked to be a little better than forecast and large tasks were set. As the day developed it looked weaker and the smaller Task B was confirmed for the day. It turned into an almost std good Aussie day. Speeds were over 110 kph for the faster lads. Cu’s and good streeting were prevalent in the task area however the dreaded easterly strengthened for the last leg home and caused several outlandings. The outlanding of consequence was Bob Ward which ended Bob’s changes of winning 18M class..
