An unsolicited note from me to the list.
It repeats publicly my regular response to the several direct enquiries I
get each week.

Yes, I do have a library in my backyard.
Yes, when I have time, I package up stuff other people want.
Such as multiple copies of magazines, photos, promotional literature about
gliding.

No, it is not a lending library. (No it doesn't get money from outside
sources, no it doesn't make a profit.)
Yes, if you want something specific for yourself searched out, a donation to
the running costs of the library is asked for.
Yes, if you want stuff photocopied, mailed, etc., I ask to have my direct
costs covered (in advance).

Yes, we had a flood on the property last month. Yes, part of the library
floor got wet, (interesting experience watching a wave of water full of sand
fill the surrounding surface drains around the building) and yes, we lost
some multiple copies of magazines stored in boxes on the floor. Yes, we have
salvaged most of it; and in the process about 5 sets of 'Australian Gliding'
got collated, (wrinkle free), generally from 1965 till 1998.
Yes, these are available to people who sign in blood that they will look
after the set, if you are not picking up in person, my postage costs will
have to be covered.

Enquiries direct to me please, not via the list.
