That is not so outlandish as you might think.

There is a Pilatus being repaired in Perth at the moment that has a bullet
hole in it. I think that the airworthiness manual does not list bullet holes
as a standard repair.

It was stored in a hangar on the Newman Gliding Club strip and low and
behold a bullet hole appeared in the fin.
Suspect that some shooters were out having fun one night and one shot made
some very unexpected noises.
