I also used the 2 X 6v 8ah batteries in my Libelle.  With the increasing
demands for more power and the problems of getting the 8ah, I have changed
over to a 12V 12AH.  This is a bit heavier and is longer.  It does fit the
Libelle box but you need to install packer blocks under the barograph tray
or (like me) make a hat section aluminium bracket to go over the battery.
We can supply the 12ah if you decide to go that way.
