Whilst on the topic of soaring books, another excellent book
is currently available throgh the GFA - Meteorology and Flight by Tom Bradbury,
a UK forecaster who travelled with the British gliding team to
competitions. Again Eurocentric, but an excellent book, with at least as
good, if not better, explainations as Wally Wallington's, and oriented
completely towards soaring. Around $66, softcover.
