The look of nearly every glider since the Standard Cirrus is a remarkable 
example of convergent evolution I would have thought.  More importantly, the 
things over which most design ingenuity and angst has been spent by every 
glider manufacturer for thirty years - the aerofoil and the structure - are 
pretty well invisible.

Actually, with a side opening canopy, I would have thought more Twin Astir - 
but then they all look the same to me.  :)
