Wow ! I wonder what the Albury Corowa Gliding Club boys think of this "development" ?
Jeepers, it IS going to be a sophisticated opertion, just got to watch out (referring to their Corowa Airfield page) that you don't key the radio to 119.6 and operate the "lightNing" on runway 05/23 - that could make things tricky ! Not to mention having a bunch of skiers from the "The National Ski Diving School" (on the same page) operating from the strip. With all the bucks they're pouring into the place, you'd at least think they could get someone to proof read their site first ! LOL And, with aerotows to 3000 ft costing $60, either they're going to make a killing fleecing unsuspecting overseas pilots or go broke because no-one wants to spend that much on a launch. Oops, spoke too soon ! Sportavia charge $66 for a 3000ft launch in the high season in their gliders, and $75.90 in private ones. Clearly the Australian peso is viewed as mere pocket change by those Euro carrying visitors who come to Australia to fly ...
