In view of the recent thread regarding clubs/GFA etc, I am interested in trying to determine for myself, my club, and the future of gliding, what the general feeling is re the state of gliding and what motivates each of you. Will the questionaire make a difference?- to me yes! To you?- who knows what can happen? Will it make a difference if you don't reply- no, never!! Questionaire 1. How many years have you been gliding? 2. What do you see as your greatest achievment in gliding? 3. Do you own your own sailplane? 4. As part of a syndicate, or alone? 5. What type is it? 6. Do you feel the cost of ownership is worth it? 7. What it the single most frustrating/dissapointing thing to you about gliding as it exist today? 8. Any other disappointments frustrations? 9. What keeps you involved? 10 What would cause you to no longer be involved? 11. What other aviation experience do you have? 12. What is the advantage of gliding over other forms of aviation (if any) as far as you see it? 13. Do you compete? 14. How many people have you introduced to the sport (AEF etc, not jut talking about it).( an estimate will do). 15. How many of them aproached you rather than the other way around. 16. How many are still involved. 17. What would you change about the sport/pastime if you could? I'd really appreciate your participation.
