It seems I was in error, in that some pilots used film as a backup, for the State comps at GCWA, which I refer to. I believe no verification of a day was actually done using film. SO I APOLOGISE FOR MY ERRROR.
A bit touchy, I was talking about verification, don't see any revelance of my performance at the nats in the equation. At least I am competing! But I guess only someone with 20 plus years gliding can make that comment. Ofcourse it was my fifth flight in the glider, 75kg lighter than the rest, two top international pilots, plus the Australian 15m champion competing, my 2nd nats, 600hrs experience, etc but your post doesn't justify much more comment. Check the final results.
