One of our members has set up the automated report as shown below

This means that I can sit in my office mid-week and be reminded that I'm
missing out on good ridge flying!

Still - it's very accurate. At the time this message was sent, I was
sitting partway through my 2.5 hour flight in the Ventus which included
several trips across the gap to the North ridge and a trip along a cloud
street to Bute (only 8 km from the airfield but into wind).

I landed to give someone else a turn but unfortunately we had lots of
rain come though so all gliders had to land for 1/2 hour or so until the
rain cleared.

I launched again in the Bergfalke with another pilot and we had a very
pleasant 20 mins or so at the end of the day soaring the cloud cap over
the ridge that the new moist air had brought in.

The day was rounded that off with a really nice meal at the local pub
with friends from the club.

Winter can be fun if it's westerly at Lochiel!
