I have had an STS 720 handheld since 1986. Works just fine. Only problem I
ever had was the wire from the circuit board to the center of the aerial
connector developed solder fatigue. The receive sensitivity was down and
the transmitter wouldn't get out. Opened it up found the problem, re
soldered and it is as good as new.
