Its actually quite common for errors to exist in the global DNS database, and they tend to wind up producing quite interesting (variable) results in the presence of such errors. This is because there are multiple paths that can be traversed to look up a dns name (for redundancy), and this is a case where one of those paths works, and the other is broken.
(Ben, you didn't actually attach the details from your use of nslookup, by the way)
Anyway - Robert - one of your DNS servers for hart.wattle.id.au is specified as a hostname which does not exist, because its within a domain name which does not exist.
This means that the results of attempting to resolve names in hart.wattle.id.au will essentially be a random outcome chosen between the correct answer or 'no such domain', depending on which of the two nameservers in the lookup chain get consulted by a particular domain name resolver on the Internet.
Others can tune out at this point. For Robert's benefit:
The nameservers for wattle.id.au say that 'hart.wattle.id.au' is registered as being resolved via these two nameservers:
set q=ns server munnari.oz.au.
Default Server: munnari.oz.au Addresses: 128.250.22.2, 128.250.1.21
Server: munnari.oz.auhart.wattle.id.au.
Addresses: 128.250.22.2, 128.250.1.21
Authoritative answers can be found from:
hart.wattle.id.au nameserver = archenland.interweft.com.au
hart.wattle.id.au nameserver = kryten.ipax.com.au
However 'kryten.ipax.com.au' doesn't work, because ipax.com.au is a nonexistent domain name (absent from both the running DNS system and the Melbourne IT com.au records database).
You might like to reconsider the choice of kryten.ipax.com.au as a secondary domain name service provider, because until either that secondary is changed to be a name that exists, or the name exists, approximately 50% of attempts to access your site will fail.

Simon

Jason, Al, Robert and all, I can't access the webpage either, and it appears to be a DNS issue. Using one of the Internode DNS servers (ns2.on.net), I am unable to resolve either: www.hart.wattle.id.au or www.interweft.com.au But using a telstra server, (ns1.telstra.net) I get 2 different reponses. See below for the details from nslookup. Without spending much time on it, I was unable to work out which link in the DNS chain is broken, but perhaps Simon or somebody else may know where to look... Hope we get this worked out, Ben Murphy Leeton Gliding ClubAl The link works fine for me - it takes a fair while to load the page becauseof the large images Robert uses (perhaps some clickable low-res ones wouldbenice !). The REAL question is, what is the EXACT error message you get. Without it, it's a bit like saying "my computer doesn't work" ... It couldbe ANYTHING ! Cheers JasonHi Rob, I am getting an error page when trying to look at your web page?
