I may have missed it, but I don't believe anything has appeared on this
list concerning the sudden passing of Allan Latemore.
It is therefore with profound sadness that I advise that at about
8.00 pm on Wednesday 31 March, whilst talking on the 'phone, Allan
collapsed and died.
Allan's funeral service will be held at St Theresa's Parish Centre, Cnr
Campbell and Curzon Streets, Toowoomba on Monday 5th April at 12 noon.
His family have asked that in lieu of floral tributes, contributions to the
Heart Foundations are preferred.
Each of the many people on this list who have known Allan over
the years will have their own special memories of their association with
him. I can empathise with the many sentiments that I have read in the
last few days, but none more so than the following from Damian White who said in
part:
"I have had the pleasure of instructional flights from many top
instructors. Allan didn't just teach me to fly. He taught me to look, read the
sky and feel where I was going and what I was doing. Most importantly, Allan
taught me to appreciate flying and believe in my ability as a pilot. For that I
am forever grateful."
Allan is now soaring way above cloud base and will be sorely missed by
those of us who were privileged to have flown with him.
