Again Queensland does it again with the perfect
gliding comps with 8 good flying days (only one blue) with 50+ gliders and
gliders from ASK13 and Club Libelles up. Importantly no unbearable
heat and no flys - why would you ever go to a comp down south! Actually
dare I say it that perhaps it is time to consider limiting numbers to 50
gliders by initially not making Nimbus 4, ASH25 and ASW22 eligible to
enter the club class.
On another sad matter Dieter Hiress the maker of
the gliding jewelry was killed in a mid air at the Free State Comps in South
Africa on Easter Monday. John McLachlan (Open South African
Champion) was the other pilot involved and was also killed
regretfully.
