[warning - verbiage begins Wombat] Thanks all for the overlapping threads on video/copyright/marketing/contest finishes.
As noted by others, the gap in the chain between good footage and public use appears to be: = few existing glider pilots appear to have advertising/promotion background on which the sport can draw or get an entry point - other sports have been able to offer the media (TV in particular) a private sector linking/coordinating promoter (AVESCO, Procar, etc.) and supporting spread of sponsors/advertisers (even fishing). It suggests 'minor' sports including gliding are locked out of these promotion avenues without these parts of the puzzle.
