I am not sure what effort the GFA has put behind this year's nationals,
apart from 'giving' it to the Dalby organisation.

The point however is that this year demonstrates clearly that with the
right organisation and leadership, the multi-class nationals are far
from dying. Holding them in Qld might have helped, as the competition
scene is so very much alive up here, but that is most assuredly not the
only reason.

I am not sure what is happening next year, though, as I don't know who
is running them. At Gulgong, the impetus behind the Dalby Nationals was
already well established - and the event was publicised there. It would
be REALLY good if next year's nationals could be announce at least
during the current comp (if not before). I know that Ralp and his team
would be more than happy to pass one their experiences.
