Normally I wouldn't say anything, but I am just trying to be helpful. Last week we had the Masters Games in Alice Springs. John Ashford (CFI Caboolture) came over and flew with us. We set a task of 347km, pretty well out and return, with a turn point at Harts Range. That's where John outlanded in the Cirrus. So his mates got to do a 380km retrieve. ASGC marked the occasion by presenting John with a trophy (a broken wooden prop) inscribed "To the pilot who has shown most promise for powered flight". Is he eligible for further awards?
