Hi Lil' Petunia,

Yes I have one, sold my Microair to a club and bought the xcom, it is
working well. I mainly use the dual watch feature, which allows me to listen
to our CTAF and also listen to 122.900. The dual watch has a Pip Pip sound
when listening on the standby channel ( someone is talking ) this is the
radio going off and checking the active to see if anyone is there, then it
comes back, you get used to it. Talking to Michael at Xcom Avionics ( see
www.xcom760.com ) he saids most buy the radio for this feature as well as
the 6 - 7 watts output and built in VOX intercom ( obviously not required in
a pure glider ).

I support anything made here in Oz, Xcom , Borgelt , Holden....

We need an Oz made datalogger with inbuilt GPS and IGC approval, then the
only thing made overseas is the glider, we should make them as well!

At the Dalby nats the Dual Watch was handy if you left early, to see when
the vultures left behind you and still be on the saftey channel!

Cheers

Nigel

P.S To those that don't know, I no longer have anything to do with Microair.
