The following snippet of information (forwarded below) comes from The River News paper in Waikerie, and hopefully sheds a bit more light on the history of Zulu Romeo, Good Start's origins. If nothing else, when we finally (hopefully) get to the stage of being able to re-release it on DVD, it would be appropriate to put together a "special feature" segment about the making of the film.

I wonder if anyone has any pictures of the actual production being undertaken, or of the preview night at the drive in.

Dear Jason,
Having checked our files, I can tell you the film in question was produced
by Picadilly Pictures Corporation and was shown at the old Belair Drive-In
on January 31, 1974.
That was an uncut version of the film taken to that point, but I beleive
filming continued after that and there may have been a longer film produced.
Other that the above I cannot offer you any more information and I don't
really know who may be able to help you other than perhaps the Gliding
Federation of Australia or talking with someone like Bill Mudge at the
Waikerie Gliding Club.
I hope this helps and if you track it down let me know, it certainly would
be good to revisit the event.

regards, John Pick.
