You have become a test pilot.

Make sure you don't have a dingle, your insurance won't cover you!
You would also be putting the tow pilot at more risk than usual.

If you die in an accident (be it aircraft, motor vehicle, boat or industrial), 
your body is weighed at autopsy, as well as samples taken for toxicological 
analysis. It is a bit harder to prove if the a/c was overweight, especially if 
the ballast tanks ruptured on impact and all the evidence leaked away (not that 
ATSB or GFA do many on site investigations).
