It's also rule number 9 in the "Rules of the Air" in the back page of
GFA-issued glider logbooks.
It's also in the oral exams pilots have to do to go up through the
certificates.
There is, I'm afraid, no oral exam associated with revalidation/currency
checks. So if you learned to fly 40 years ago it's quite likely that
nobody has ever asked you the question again.
