Ladies and Gentleman - if you had not noticed winter has arrived,
announcing the 2005 Wave Soaring Season.
Once again the Canberra Gliding Club will be hosting it's annual
Wave Camp between August 20th and 28th, and I can't think of a year
when someone has not achieved that allusive Diamond Height Gain during
the camp.
Facilities include
Aero Tow - 2 tugs
Oxygen resupply available at the airfield.
Aircraft Tie Downs.
Club House accommodation is available - but you have to book.
Cooma is 15km down the road.
Airspace G class to FL180 - Gold Height
E Class FL180 to FL245 - Diamond Height
A Class above - Australian Altitude Record has stood for almost
10 years (August 1995). The Canberra Club has dispensations and
agreements in place for appropriately briefed and endorsed
glider pilots operating from Bunyan to operate in A Class
airspace.
A site check is required for all first time visitors.
On non flying days the NSW snow fields are a 60 minutes drive from the front
gate.
