Ben,
You might want to try Les Webster. He has 2 Callairs for sale in the current
AG, sorry SA magazine and he maybe open to a lease agreement.
I hope your Pawnee major isn't like the ones I have seen. The last one that
was going to take 4 months took 4 years and 9000 hours to finish. Like ours
many years ago, and remember we had the best Pawnee in Australia, at least
thats what the spreading company told us, little things quickly turned into
big things.
Just a few of the things TNC presented us with: The entire side of the
fuselage peeled away on decent, the tubes at the rear of the fuselage
consisted of paint, the metal had corroded away, the engine was long in the
tooth but we were assured that you could get an extension upon inspection by
a LAME. The report from the LAME went something like this " I have never
seen a Pawnee engine with as many hours on it as this one!!!!!!" (with a few
expletives thrown in). It cost us a fair bit over the first 2 years. Now its
the best.
When we purchased our next Pawnee we bought a wreck and rebuilt it so at
least we knew what we were buying.
Good luck.
Ian P.

Subject: [Aus-soaring] Looking for a tug
G'day all,
Hunter Valley GC is pulling its Pawnee out of the air in July for major
works. We expect it to be out of the air for up to 4 months. We are
looking for a replacement tug (or series of tugs) during that time,
preferably Pawnees that our pilots could fly. Is anyone aware of tugs
fitting the bill that are available July - September?
Thanks,
Ben Coleman
