-----Original Message-----No, I can't answer that question any better, but can I add a question about blue tinted canopies?

Subject: Re: [Aus-soaring] Canopy material
I used to think the blue tint was a terrific idea and added some protection vs UV, but now especially after all the discussion about gliding sunglasses and redish lenses to filter out blue I am not sure if the blue canopy is working against the visibility by adding to the overall blue.
BTW I now have some "Old Eagle Eyes" which I find makes it much easier to quickly pick up other gliders in the sky.

She has asked me what our canopies are made of, and of course all I know is "perspex". But if I can get a more definitive description, then she is able to find out from the biomedical people a bit more info about the UV transmission properties of the material./x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/color>/fontfamily>
So my question - can anyone tell me what the actual material is.../x-tad-smaller>/smaller>/color>/fontfamily>
