I have talked with many money-rich/time-poor people who have expressed an interest in gliding, but there is no way they will fit in with the traditional gliding structure.  They couldn't afford the weekend after weekend of little flying.
Tonight I've been to the Lilydale Flying School annual dinner with many other people.  They have money and are prepared to book in, lay down their cash and come away satisfied at having acheived their aims.
Bacchus is close to several million people.  It would be easy to run an occasional full-time training course.  With a just two students you would only need one tug pilot and one instructor.  No big deal, and two new solo pilots.  It should be easy to start small like this.
