G'day All,
Well I've done some talking and we've now got the oppertunity to run the
first ever NSW Junior State Gliding Competition! Sportavia
(www.sportavia.com.au) have been kind enough to host this event in
conjunction with their XC Shoot-out comp..
The competition dates are planned to start on the 26th November to the 3rd
of December '05. With the same format that will be used at the Junior
Nationals (Leeton), ie, bring any type of glider, fill them up with water
and race against your peers and aussie's best seniors! Handi-capping will
apply..
This will give you a great oppertunity to practice up for the up and coming
JoeyGlide '05 - just down the road from Leeton. So will give you a good
oppertunity to get to know the area..
The 4 time World Champion, Ingo Renner will be available to performance
soaring seminars in the morning and evenings, closely run in with SeeYou
MAGGOT races.. Also, at this stage Paul Mander has offered his time to do
some one-on-one coaching for some fast XC flights.
Where also planning on setting 300 and 500km FAI triangles so we can all
work together to grab the badges we may need/want!
Wait for it, Wait for it... There's going to be another first at this comp,
a DA$H-for-CA$H on the last day.. A Race-course start overhead Tocumwal
airfield, with a race to Leeton Gliding Club. First one across the line (on
handicapp) will take home the $$'s raised during the week!
Don't know what else to say, but if your keen to keep all your mates and
international pilots honest at JoeyGlide, then I highly recommend you come
to this warm up event full of competition and coaching experience!
