Subject: [Aus-soaring] Cambridge 302 not transfering to lap top or Ipaq andit is "cle log"!!!!!!!

Just a reminder that when the Cambridge 302 has a lot of flights stored (usually well over 100hrs) you may get a FAT error. Prevention is the best cure and I URGE ALL USERS to do a "cle log" using hyperterminal in LAPTOP NOW and all will be well till Easter 06 with your 302.

If unfamiliar with Hyperterminal(Programs-- Accessories-- Communication-- Hyperterminal) and set up a link called "cambridge" with a bit/sec rate 4800 (Connect to---  Com1 and down to Configuration and Bit/s 4800, Data bit 8,  Parity None, Stop Bit 1,  Flow C 1) .

Once the link is set up connect to 302 and garbage may scroll over screen - stop this and to get command line press "ctrl C" and then you have cmd> and at that type "cle log" without the "  " - tie 7 key presses and then enter and it is done (hopefully).

PLEASE DO THIS ASP and if you have trouble and remember I may have done a double major in Mathematics at University but I am dumb with computer and I can do it!!!!

Please phone me and I will run you through if you have trouble.

Now if you are unfortunate enough to get caught keep trying to down load the flight even 20 times but I make no guarantee.  There is a program which can be used in a palm but I can not find it today!  Also I may have told some people incorrect info on the phone  - I may have said "clr log" instead of "cle log"

I have a good feeling Phil Schlosser is working on a fix and it will be downloadable via Cambridge web site and then into your 302 so keep a lookout.

Hi Philip,

If you could connect your laptop to the 302 and call me between 9-5 Central time, I can walk you through the fix.

Regards,

Gary
