Now I am getting confused Robert. Is the Safety Seminar at Caboolture the one organised and run by the GFA Ops Panel? Seems a fairly open culture approach from "Them" to visit each state to dicuss the issues you talk about. You mention incident reports from the Qld State Comps and then follow up to tell us that the RTO/Ops has all of these and is doing whatever work is required with them. I thought thet the Qld RTO/Ops was part of the Ops Panel? I assume that he is following standard practice agreed at the Ops Panel in dealing with this information? - so is he doing his job openly or not? Or maybe he is the only RTO/Ops that is open and working for the membership and it is all of the others who are plotting against Qld? My observation of the RTOs is that they are all hard working people who collectively bring the views from their states (and the various clubs in their states)and agree on common stadards and practices for Australian Gliding. They are very focussed and proactive with improving safety, but have to rely on clubs and individual pilots to actually be safe. Suggest you spend some time with your RTO/ops and explain why YOU think he doesn't care about safety and what HE should do to stop accidents? Terry

Having been to the GFA Safety Seminar roadshow a couple of weeks ago (and to the AGM - where were you?) I found it very useful and open-cultured. I am sure the Caboolture one is not the only one programmed for Queensland.
I am sure the Qld safety meeting will be very useful and open cultiured. It is a pity that that same open culture does not even extend as far as the ops panel.

Your postings are developing a certain same-ness about them - are you sure it is not you that is misreading the signals?

Would you care to tell me how you think I should "read" the sort of signals that I referred to in my original email?
