The situation is very complex and while I agree with some of the things
David says, here is a question.

If the 1974 Waikerie world comps was a "good thing" because it generated
interest in gliding in Australia, why did the two subsequent world
championships* held in Australia vanish without ripples?

If we can answer that maybe we can get a hint about what is really
happening.

*Do you remember where and when they both were. Because I didn't, I had
to ask about one (but I was involved in the other)!
