Irony is that the guys that got the Telstra longreach 2x GSM system & usable
CDMA inter-cell hand off ( world leading performance!! ) are on the chopping
block thanks to Sol. TRL was a world class telecommunications research lab & we
are all the poorer for it's loss.
Incidentally the answer to the previous question which went off-line is that 3G
in Australia is indeed a CDMA system, WCDMA to be precise... ( not compatible
with regular CDMA )
