My experience last weekend was that the airline IFR and commercial pilots
with the exception of the local aero club instructors didn't seem to have
heard about the Nov 24th changes. The glider pilots at Kingaroy were
calling joining downwind and that was the last call. It would have been
useful to make the base and final call. Kingaroy is afetr all a council
aerodrome not a dedicated gliding site and even at those maybe one or two
midairs in the past could have been prevented by making those calls.
