My syndicate partner and I have a Grob Speed Astir II for sale.
These gliders are not well known, there are only 3 in Australia, ours
and two IIB models in WA. Anyone who has flown this aircraft has been
delighted with the handling and performance.

I am 185cm and 105kg and find it a bit tight while wearing a chute, so
she must be sold.

This glider is a delight to fly, gets a true 40:1 , is flapped, has
winglets, B50, Soaring pilot Glide computer with Palm PDA, Microair
radio, Boom Mic, GPS35 (like a mouse). Water Ballast, retractable gear,
Not Automatic hookup but NO HOTELLIERS!! All Ad's complied with. Total
time approx 1200hrs. Excellent condition.
Comes with everything including trailer, rigging and ground handling
gear. (no chute).

We have dropped the price considerably so if you are interested email me
off list.

Now for the steak-knives. I have a Fischer TOP self launching pod that
is now surplus to my needs.

If you are looking for a self launcher, You might like to consider
mounting this on the Speed Astir ?? The Speed Astir is not on the
"list" of approved gliders, so it would be in experimental category if
you wanted to go this way. Installation is basically the fitment of a
couple of small f/glass bulkheads under the turtledeck, and some wiring.
NOTE: the Top has never been fitted to this glider. You will need to
install it!!

As a package, we'd accept $30000 (no offers) for both aircraft and TOP.
YOU WILL NOT FIND A CHEAPER SELF LAUNCHER.

Cheers
Mark

Non-soaring (I suspect) - three of them are owned by Qantas!
