I am slightly amused by the reference to setting the launch record of
156 flights in a day.
Back in the UK with the air cadet gliding movement, we would regularly
clock up more than 100 launches in a day and on one 'longest day of the
year' we notched up over 400 launches, first launch at some ridiculous
hour (about 4:15am IIRC) and last launch at something past 10pm!
Admittedly, this was all winch launches - we had two winches, each with
two drums, operating side by side - and we had several 'crews' so that
we could get a much needed rest during the day. People who complain
about 'Blanik bum' should try a T31's wooden 'seat' for comparison!
