I heard that on if the gliders hit one of the other cables and released with
elevator damage but made it back to the airfield ok.

There are some similarities between Slovak and Polish. This what I can
figure out - just a summary:
The event took place on 11 of June on the Sliac airfield. Members of the
Ocovski club made an attempt to establish a new Guinness book record to
simultaneously launch 9 gliders behind a single engine aircraft - a Z-137
Turbo Cmelak. Seven gliders (L-13 Blanik) were from the Ocovski club and
two
from Nitra.
Until now the record was held by Czechs who launched seven gliders in 2004
in Pardubice.
They tried to launch 9 gliders but there was some sort of a problem with
the
9th glider and the managed to get 8 gliders into the air.
