G'day
I am guessing he's on a dialup, and can't get broadband (Probably on a RIMM).
That's why it's slow!
Site is fine from my end.

Hehheh I'd suggest you talk to Simon - I'm sure he can hook you up with a
good deal down in Adelaide!
Is it slow for anyone else? It's fine for me here at work, but if others are
finding it slow it could be the cranky ol' webserver.
I'll be adding articles for a few hours this afternoon... anyone got
suggestions for what they would like to see?
Gus

At 19 kbps even looking at WikiGlide (though I have) is a dream and I am less

Thanks for nothing Ziggy & Sol :-(

Hi everyone,
You remember the WikiGlide site that was started early this year? Well..
now that the summer season is upon us and everyone is back into a gliding
frenzy, I thought I would the opportunity to really delve some time into it and
develop it into a huge resource for the Australian gliding community.
I thank those that have helped out this year, and some people have been
great by adding their own content and editing others. The problem, as I see it,
is that many in the gliding community aren't particularly "technology-savvy"
and don't know how to write a wiki article. As such, I've started to edit the
code, upgrade the help section, and write a few scripts to make it really
simple for everyone, so that writing an article is as simple as filling out a
form.
I have a few ideas which I want to work on, such as getting permission to
reproduce a few informative articles from previous magazines, with topics on
thermalling techniques (with diagrams), cross-country technique as well as
others. What do you think? Is this a good idea?
I would really appreciate it if people could have a looksee through, and
tell me what they would like to see in a community resource.
As a start, I've made a Pilot Profile Creator for the Pilot Profile section
so that everyone can have their own little section that describes themselves
and their love of gliding. It'd be really good if everyone could give it a try,
and put up a profile and perhaps even a picture. I've made it very simple, and
if worst comes to worst please feel free to use the Profile Creator then email
me ( [EMAIL PROTECTED]) the "wiki text" it outputs for you, and I'll put it up
myself
The link is http://www.wikiglide.com/wiki/profile_creator.php
Give it a try and tell me your ideas :D Thanks all !
Gus
