For all the pilots who intend flying in Horsham Week and who do not as yet
have an FAI licence,

Beryl Hartley issued me with an interim licence this morning and she advises
that she might be able to help you out if you get yourself organized before
the end of the week.

You need to down load the application form from the GFA website, fill it out
and get your CFI to sign it. Then fax it to Beryl. The fax number is shown
on the application form. Beryl will issue you with an FAI licence number.
You can then follow up by mailing her two passport photos and your cheque
for $20 so she can issue the permanent licence. At least this way you will
have something for Horsham Week.

I hope this helps

One may run into problems with insurance, such as I found with TAC insurance

at motorcycle "track days" in Victoria: if you just ride around the
race-track you're covered by TAC, but the moment you time anyone you're not.
