Hi Nick,

What prompted this? I thought Leeton was almost a done deal?

Subject: [Aus-soaring] JoeyGlide 2007

Hi All,

JoeyGlide is seeking a new home.

We have a few irons in the fire already, but are interested in expressions
of interest from gliding clubs that are interested in hosting the contest.
Here is a very brief rundown on criteria :

Must Haves:

- Must be reasonably central (sorry Western Australians - central to the
eastern & southern states :)

- Must be 'junior friendly'

- Must have generally good weather late December / early January and be able
to host the comp at this time.

Nice to Haves:

- Either Winch & Aerotow Ops Possible, or tugs onsite to reduce ferry &
launch costs

- Plenty of non aviation activities (something to do on no-fly days)

A small committee is in the process of being formed to evaluate any
expressions of interest received. I can be contacted on 0430099771 if you
would rather talk about it on the phone first. The contest runs for 7 days
and is likely to start in between Christmas and New Year. The contest is
pretty close to being self administered - there is not a whole lot of actual
club involvement required.

Regards,

Nick Gilbert.
